Si bien ocurren con mayor frecuencia en Am\u00e9rica Latina, las estafas con falsas notificaciones judiciales han aumentado en todo el mundo. La estafa no es otra cosa que ataques de phishing en los que los estafadores se hacen pasar por \u00f3rganos judiciales gubernamentales y estimulan a las v\u00edctimas a clicar en enlaces, bajar archivos contaminados con virus o rellenar formularios falsos.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Las consecuencias de la estafa pueden ser p\u00e9rdidas financieras inmediatas o la utilizaci\u00f3n indebida de los datos para la aplicaci\u00f3n de nuevos delitos.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

C\u00f3mo funciona la estafa de la falsa notificaci\u00f3n judicial<\/b><\/h2>\n

Las falsas notificaciones judiciales suelen empezar con una llamada, e-mail o mensaje que aparenta ser de una instituci\u00f3n jur\u00eddica o judicial.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Los estafadores se aprovechan de la confianza que las personas depositan en esas instituciones para inducirlas a tomar actitudes perjudiciales. Los estafadores utilizan una combinaci\u00f3n de sentido de urgencia y miedo para presionar a las v\u00edctimas a actuar impulsivamente. Los pretextos m\u00e1s comunes en ese tipo de estafa son:<\/span><\/p>\n

  • Procesos por deudas o por da\u00f1os morales.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Intimaciones a comparecer a una audiencia o a prestar una declaraci\u00f3n.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Cobros por una multa o tasa judicial.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Cobro de beneficios por una indemnizaci\u00f3n o un acuerdo judicial.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Los mensajes pueden incluir detalles personales obtenidos por medio de bancos de datos p\u00fablicos o por medio de phishings y fuga de datos. Adem\u00e1s, el uso de t\u00e9rminos y temas jur\u00eddicos que no forman parte de nuestra vida cotidiana dificulta el reconocimiento de la estafa.<\/span><\/p>\n

    C\u00f3mo identificar la estafa de la falsa notificaci\u00f3n judicial<\/b><\/h2>\n

    \u00bfHas recibido una notificaci\u00f3n judicial? Entonces, no te dejes llevar por el miedo o la prisa.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    Existen algunos trucos para identificar una notificaci\u00f3n judicial falsa.<\/span><\/p>\n

    <\/b>Analiza el contenido y confirma el remitente:<\/b><\/h3>\n

    Las estafas pueden contener informaci\u00f3n imprecisa, informaci\u00f3n de contacto falsa, entre otros. Por eso, busca el n\u00famero o el e-mail de la persona que envi\u00f3 el mensaje o hizo la llamada y comp\u00e1ralo con los datos de contacto usados por la instituci\u00f3n de que se trate.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Las instituciones leg\u00edtimas raramente solicitan informaci\u00f3n personal o financiera por e-mail, mensaje o llamada. Por ejemplo, el delincuente puede pedirle a la v\u00edctima que confirme la direcci\u00f3n residencial que consta en el expediente. Desconf\u00eda de cualquier contacto en el que se te soliciten datos sensibles.<\/span><\/p>\n

    No realices pagos supuestamente urgentes:<\/b><\/h3>\n

    Si recibes un cobro de tasa judicial que no reconoces, entra en contacto con un abogado o busca los canales oficiales de atenci\u00f3n de la instituci\u00f3n citada en el cobro.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Cuidado con los enlaces y adjuntos:<\/b><\/h3>\n

    Nunca hagas clic o bajes adjuntos antes de confirmar que se trata de una comunicaci\u00f3n verdadera. A fin de cuentas, estos e-mails pueden contener malware que comprometer\u00e1 la seguridad de tu dispositivo. Adem\u00e1s, los enlaces pueden conducir a sitios falsos con formularios creados solo para capturar tus datos.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    Desconf\u00eda de tonos de urgencia:<\/b><\/h3>\n

    Los ciberdelincuentes pueden crear un mensaje con un tono de urgencia para desestabilizar a la v\u00edctima, haciendo que ella tome una actitud sin pensar.
