A fin de cuentas, con la escalada del comercio electr\u00f3nico, los delincuentes cibern\u00e9ticos se afanan cada vez m\u00e1s para estafar a internautas desavisados. Puedes acabar top\u00e1ndote con una tienda falsa que simula con perfecci\u00f3n el sitio de un comercio minorista famoso o simplemente ser v\u00edctima de una filtraci\u00f3n de datos.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pi\u00e9nsalo un momento: tras investigar mucho sobre aquel producto que anhelas tener, lo encuentras a la venta en una tienda en l\u00ednea que te transmite confianza. Efect\u00faas la compra usando tu tarjeta de cr\u00e9dito y, unos minutos despu\u00e9s, empiezan a surgir diversas transacciones aleatorias de las que tu banco te avisa por medio de notificaciones. Y reci\u00e9n en ese momento te das cuenta de que has ca\u00eddo en una trampa. A veces es posible, incluso, impugnar las transacciones fraudulentas ante tu banco, pero, aun si tienes \u00e9xito, el proceso no ser\u00e1 nada f\u00e1cil.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lo que muchas personas no saben es que la mayor\u00eda de las instituciones financieras ya ofrecen un recurso muy \u00fatil para garantizar un mayor nivel de seguridad en el momento de hacer compras en l\u00ednea. Hablamos de las tarjetas virtuales, pensadas exclusivamente para realizar adquisiciones en tiendas digitales y que se pueden generar y eliminar en cualquier momento. Se trata de una forma mucho m\u00e1s pr\u00e1ctica, r\u00e1pida y flexible de hacer compras y, sin duda, la mejor alternativa en t\u00e9rminos de seguridad.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Pero, en definitiva, \u00bfc\u00f3mo funcionan?<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Es muy sencillo. Tras abrir una cuenta bancaria, lo habitual es que recibas la tarjeta f\u00edsica en tu residencia. Esta es y siempre ser\u00e1 tu tarjeta principal (la que tambi\u00e9n puedes usar para efectuar retiros y hacer compras f\u00edsicamente por medio de las maquinitas de cualquier establecimiento comercial). Sin embargo, por medio de la app de tu banco, tambi\u00e9n podr\u00e1s crear una tarjeta virtual que solo podr\u00e1s usar para compras en l\u00ednea. Esta tarjeta no tiene una versi\u00f3n f\u00edsica; solo tiene un n\u00famero, fecha de vencimiento y c\u00f3digo de verificaci\u00f3n.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La mayor\u00eda de las tarjetas virtuales emitidas hoy en d\u00eda se pueden personalizar y eliminar de acuerdo a las necesidades del usuario. Digamos que t\u00fa deseas \u201chacer la prueba\u201d y realizar una compra por el valor de BRL 399,00 en una tienda virtual que no te inspira mucha confianza. Basta con generar una tarjeta virtual espec\u00edfica para esa transacci\u00f3n, definir tu l\u00edmite en exactos BRL 399,00 e, inmediatamente despu\u00e9s de la compra, borrar la tarjeta de tu cuenta para impedir cualquier tipo de uso malicioso. En algunos bancos, \u00a1puedes crear y borrar todas las tarjetas virtuales que quieras!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">No interesa si la tienda es fraudulenta o si aquella tarjeta termina siendo expuesta m\u00e1s tarde en una filtraci\u00f3n de datos, pues no tendr\u00e1 ninguna utilidad para el delincuente cibern\u00e9tico, ya que su l\u00edmite de gastos ya se habr\u00e1 agotado o la tarjeta ya estar\u00e1 vencida. Es justamente por esa flexibilidad que las tarjetas virtuales son perfectas espec\u00edficamente para compras en l\u00ednea.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Cuidados que se deben tener<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Como lo mencionamos anteriormente, aunque se puedan considerar una \u201cnovedad\u201d, la mayor\u00eda de las instituciones financieras (tanto las tradicionales, o sea, los grandes bancos, como las FinTechs) ya ofrecen las tarjetas virtuales. Y aunque su uso sea mucho m\u00e1s sencillo, es importante resaltar que la seguridad aun depende de los buenos h\u00e1bitos del usuario final, que necesita acordarse siempre de eliminar una tarjeta virtual tras concluir las compras para las cuales la cre\u00f3.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">De nada sirve generar una tarjeta virtual y mantenerla all\u00ed por tiempo indeterminado, utiliz\u00e1ndola en varias tiendas digitales y sin establecer l\u00edmites de valores para las transacciones.
